They took a poll on the show, and most people voted that homeschooling was the best form of education. Thanks for the video!

I'm a 7 year home educator--the Charlotte Mason method primarily. I try to avoid textbooks and workbooks in the early years especially.

I had no idea unschooling was this child-centered. I'm not judging your choices, but I would like to recommend that at very least, you instill in those children a strong work ethic (because nobody *wants* to file their taxes, or draw up the will, or 100 other dreaded tasks of adulthood) and a sense of respect for you and ultimately--others. The snapping, whining and sulking will only grow with them--into a big fat stalk of rebellion and self-destruction--if you don't cut it off as a bud.

Children will not learn character all by themselves; you're going to have endeavor to teach that to them. The bible is an excellent place to start...and end, for that matter.
